Wood Group to Design the DeLa Express Pipeline for Liquids-Rich Natural Gas in Texas and Louisiana

Introduction

Wood Group has been awarded a significant contract by DeLa Cruz Midstream, LLC (DeLa Cruz) to provide engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) services for the DeLa Express Pipeline, a 16-inch diameter, 163-mile pipeline that will transport liquids-rich natural gas from the Agua Dulce area in South Texas to the fractionation and storage facilities in Mont Belvieu, Texas. The project also includes the design and construction of a new pump station in Wharton County, Texas. The pipeline will have the capacity to transport up to 400,000 barrels of natural gas liquids (NGLs) per day.

Project Details

The DeLa Express Pipeline will be approximately 163 miles long and will traverse seven counties in Texas and Louisiana. The pipeline will be constructed using the latest technology and will meet all applicable safety and environmental regulations. The project is expected to create approximately 2,000 jobs during the construction phase. The project is scheduled to be completed in 2024. Once operational, the DeLa Express Pipeline will provide much-needed transportation capacity for liquids-rich natural gas from the Agua Dulce area to the Mont Belvieu fractionation and storage facilities.
